This dedicated tester for static bending strength and modulus of elasticity of wood-based panels complies with GB/T17657 Test Methods of Evaluating the Properties of Wood-Based Panels and Surface Decorated Wood-Based Panels, capable of 3-point and 4-point bending tests on wood panels, plywood and particleboard.

3-Point Bending Test

Static bending strength and modulus of elasticity are determined by loading at the midpoint of two supported specimens. Static bending strength equals the ratio of bending moment under maximum load to section modulus of bending; modulus of elasticity refers to the ratio of stress to strain within material elastic limit.

4-Point Bending Test

Static bending strength and modulus of elasticity are tested by applying equal loads at one-third position of supports on specimens. Static bending strength equals the ratio of bending moment under maximum load to section modulus of bending; modulus of elasticity refers to the ratio of stress to strain within material elastic limit.
